Up until about five minutes ago I had no intention of swatting up on Thrones before it airs on Sunday.

It’ll be a complete surprise, you know?

Having said that, there’s no doubt in my mind that Sunday’s going to provide a sh*t-storm of Game Of Thrones content while Monday will be even worse. I’m going to be a vessel for pumping out GoT articles and I’m scared about keeping up.

I’m going to have to pull an all-nighter.

However, I got told to write this article and my job might have become slightly easier, as now I’m full of knowledge about what went down in season seven.

White Animation have made a genius little animated video about the previous season and it’s essential viewing.

The video starts by recounting the Night King’s success at The Wall, which he blasts down with icy dragon breath as his 100,000 strong army of Wights marches south.

I won’t ruin the rest of it for you because the animation is so beautiful – check it out below:

So Jon and Dany are on the march north with the various armies loyal to them, as well as Gendry, Ser Davos, Varys and Tyrion. Oh, and Jaime Lannister too who’s decided to offer a helping hand (excuse the pun).

A pregnant Cersei is plotting back in King’s Landing after essentially double-crossing everyone.

In Winterfell, Sansa is reunited with her siblings, one of which is Arya who’s now a Faceless Man, the other being Bran who’s the Three-Eyed Raven.

And Sam is back in Winterfell after discovering how to kill White Walkers (and who Jon’s parents are).

There we go: consider me up to speed.

If that’s not enough and you’re in need of a little more detail, the good people over at ScreenCrush have summarised all seven seasons worth of GoT content in one easily digestible, 12 minute clip.

The video is jam-packed with spoilers (obviously).

In recent weeks I’ve struggled to get excited but now it’s nearly here I’m officially pumped.

To be fair these recap videos do help – it’s a bloody good show isn’t it?

Pray for me on Sunday, though, I’m in for a long, long night…
