TikTok is great for many things. It’s given us sea shanties, more dances than any parent could ever dream of learning, new ways of folding wraps… and now this.

A woman ran out of her favourite setting spray, so she decided to use Gorilla Glue spray to style her hair instead.

It worked, but the problem is it worked a little too well…. she has now been stuck with the same hairstyle for a month.

The woman, named Tessica Brown, filmed a TikTok video and where she shared what happened and warned others not to do the same.

To be fair, we’re not sure how many other people would think this was a good idea, but it’s nice of her to give a warning.

TikTok Video

Speaking on the video, she said: “My hair has been like this for about a month now.

“It’s not by choice – when I do my hair I like to finish it off with a little got2b glued spray (a Schwarzkopf hair setting spray) you know just to keep it in place.

“Well I didn’t have any more got2b glued spray so I used this.”

Tessica then holds up the can, which she reveals to be the Gorilla Glue spray.

“Bad, bad, bad idea!” she continues, “My hair, it don’t move, you hear what I’m telling you – it don’t move.

“I’ve washed my hair 15 times and it don’t move.”

She then warns others not to follow in her footsteps.

The Sequel

That wasn’t all, the video took off and soon went viral, with nearly 9 million views of her misfortune. She then went on to post a follow-up video, demonstrating how shampoo will not shift the super glue that was now fused to her head. Oops.

She slathers shampoo all over her scalp and rubs it in, then shrugs and grabs a washcloth. “Look! Look! You wipe it off and nothing happens”. The glue has stuck fast, and all the shampoo seems to do is polish her hair.

She then posted another video, acknowledging that she’d gone viral and saying if you see her walking around wearing a headscarf to cover her hair, to “mind your own business”.

Commenters have been giving her plenty of advice, none of which has been successful so far.

There has been plenty of hair fails over lockdown as people are desperate for their hairdresser or barber to open again, but this is one of the funniest.

Poor Tessica.

Have you had any hair disasters during lockdown?
