He’s the king of all things spooky, with Frankenweenie, Edward Scissorhands, Sweeney Todd or The Nightmare Before Christmas, and now Tim Burton can add the Addams Family to that list.

It’s been confirmed that he’ll be working on a live-action reboot of the most ghoulish family around for a new TV series.

According to Deadline, Burton is hoping to bring his trademark penchant for all things goth to the beloved series, joined by Smallville developers Alfred Gough and Miles Millar.

The Addams Family has already been several live-action TV series,  and was originally created by Charles Addams in the 1930s. As well as the TV series there are the must-watch films for Halloween, The Addams Family and The Addams Family Values.

They were iconic roles for Anjelica Huston as Morticia and Christina Ricci as Wednesday.

It’s thought that Netflix will be the home of the new series, and as for the plot? Rumour has it that the reboot will be set in the modern day and all done from the perspective of Wednesday Addams.

Something tells us Wednesday won’t be a fan of Love Island and TikTok. Can whoever is cast live up to Christina Ricci’s performance?

People are already posting who they think should be cast.

Meanwhile this person predicted a reboot back in 2017.

The animated movie that came out last year is working on a sequel, and it’s been confirmed that Bill Hader is joining the cast.

To be honest, we’re just surprised Tim Burton hasn’t done anything with the Addams Family already.
