Obviously they’re far better than the alternative but it’s fairly annoying that things have gotten to this point. Selfish aren’t they, terrorists?
Anyway, with that, we’ve all had to deal with taking our shoes off and having people who look like they haven’t smiled in 20 years rummaging through our bags. Nightmare.
Luckily in the UK things aren’t as strict at airports but in the US, the infamous TSA – Transportation Security Administration– knows no bounds when it comes to invading people’s privacy.
*side note: as I’ve said, this is obviously better than being blown up in a plane*
But things went too far when AJ Francis, a pro football player for the NY Giants, had his bag searched by the TSA. Rather sadly for him though, Francis’ late mother’s ashes were in the bag that got searched.
In a ridiculous move from the bag-searchers, they opened the urn and began to look in it. To add insult to injury, they didn’t close the urn properly, leaving the contents to scatter into the bag during transit.
In light of this, Francis took to Twitter to berate the TSA…
The TSA were quick to respond, apologising for what happened…
That didn’t go down too well…
It’s pretty appalling action from TSA, who have previously shown a very callous regard for people’s emotional well-being.
