Vans Has Unveiled The First Look At Their Harry Potter Collaboration And It’s Magical.
I’m a fan of Harry Potter – as much as the next person, anyway.
It’s a fantastic film and book franchise that has captivated the world over with its magical storytelling and spell-binding characters. But not once have I ever thought to myself, ‘you know what these trainers of mine are missing? A Hogwarts motif.’
However, with the legions of Potterheads around the world, who seemingly have wished for Hogwarts-related imagery on their treads, it was only a matter of time before a major clothing brand tested the water with a HP collab.
Well, Vans have taken the plunge, and while it was announced a while back, we’ve just got our first glimpse of the footwear and apparel on offer.
They originally teased the announcement with the following tweet, indicating they will come out with products inspired by the four Hogwarts houses: Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff.
And now it’s here.
The Vans x HarryPotter collaboration includes four exclusive colorways including a Sk8-Hi in Gryffindor, an Era in Slytherin, Authentic in Ravenclaw and a Classic Slip-On in Hufflepuff. There’s also a ComfyCush Era themed for the film’s fictitious newspaper features newsprint graphics in Daily Prophet.

The only pair I’d wear are the Slytherins and the Hufflepuffs.
At a push.
Alongside the footwear collection is a selection of men’s and women’s apparel which has been “similarly inspired by the four houses of Hogwarts, while also referencing the series’ novel titles and a back-to-school vibe as well. Men’s apparel highlights include an Old Skool Backpack in Gryffindor colorway, Torrey Black in Deathly Hallows and a Harry Potter 4 Houses Pullover in white.”
The women’s apparel selection also contains a Deathly Hallows Crop LS shirt and a Dark Arts Backpack with Death Eaters reflective print and Harry Potter logo.
I can’t really get my head around this because I love The Lord of the Rings but I don’t want a jacket with Gondor written all over it.
(Maybe I do now actually.)
Anyway, the Vans x Harry Potter collection will be able to buy from Vans from June 2019.
Everyone’s going to be wearing these aren’t they?
