VOXI is the new mobile network on everyone’s lips – but what is VOXI and what does it have to offer?

VOXI’s ‘endless social media’ is here to put your data woes to rest.

It’s 2019 – using social apps, without using your monthly quota of data, should be free. I feel the same about shower gel, or, I don’t know, butter – they’re essentials and my disgustingly entitled, millennial self feels like it’s my god-given right to have them free of charge.

Sadly, I can’t offer a solution to free shower gel and butter (I suppose you could make your own) but what I can do is tell you all about ‘endless social media’ use, courtesy of the interweb’s best-kept secret, VOXI.

Until now, mobile phone customers have been resigned to snapping, posting, swiping, chatting and snapping (I already said that one didn’t I?) on the go with the knowledge that their precious pool of data is ever-so-slightly ebbing away.

But thankfully, the VOXI mobile network is here with ‘endless social media’, which offers unlimited data for apps such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and WhatsApp, without the need for Wi-Fi. Yep, it’s a real game-changer alright!

A VOXI plan also comes with a whole host of other great features, so we’ve broken down what VOXI is and what it can offer for you. Spoiler alert: it’s a lot.

Excited? Me too!

What is VOXI?

Ahh, the question on everyone’s lips: ‘What actually is VOXI?’

Well, VOXI is a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) powered and run by Vodafone. However, where it differs from Vodafone – and other UK networks – is that you can use most social media platforms without eating into your data.

Why is this only just a thing now?! Cheers VOXI.

That means because it’s powered by Vodafone, you’ll be getting the exact same speeds, coverage and areas. You just won’t have to find Wi-Fi anymore – the foremost bane of everyone’s life.

What network is VOXI on?

I’ve literally just told you! Stay with me, guys.

VOXI is powered by Vodafone and uses high speed 4G Network. So you’ll always get a super fast, reliable network whether you need it at home or abroad.

Which is perfect for incessantly uploading holidays snaps to Insta’ to annoy your mates.

Is there an age limit with VOXI?

Don’t be silly, of course not – VOXI is here for everyone!

I mean, before the 4th April, 2019, VOXI customers had to be under 30 to join the service but that’s neither here nor there. I don’t even know why I mentioned it to be honest.

Luckily, this is no longer the case and customers of any age can enjoy the endless social media and flexibility of VOXI. Hurrah!

What are the benefits of VOXI?

Ahh, if only you knew. Which I guess is fortunate because I’m about to say.

We already know that VOXI is the platform for endless possibilities, allowing total flexibility with added benefits.

But the other great thing about VOXI’s flexible, 30-day plans is that you’re always in control, meaning you can change, pause or cancel your plan anytime.

No fluster, no fuss, no flippin’ faff!

There are loads of other great features too, which I’ve meticulously assembled under neat little subheadings for your reading pleasure.

Endless social media: What more could you want? With VOXI you get unlimited use of social media without eating into your monthly data quota.

That means you can use Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook Messenger, Viber and WhatsApp, without using data, and, more importantly, without having to find Wi-Fi. If that isn’t enough to get you on board I don’t know what will!

Endless calls and texts: With all of VOXI’s brilliant plans, you get unlimited calls, texts and picture messages to UK numbers. So there’s absolutely no excuse not to ring your mammy when you’re away with your mates.

When it comes to international calls, VOXI offers great international rates from just 1.5p per minute. Or you can choose the ‘100 International Minutes’ extra to call 100 countries from the UK.

Endless Roaming: Another feature of VOXI – and what makes it so great – is endless roaming. You can use your VOXI plan at no extra cost in 48 countries in the network’s Europe Zone. Your calls, texts and data will work as normal – including your endless social media.

No Bill Shock: With VOXI, you no longer have to worry about unexpected out of plan charges. You only pay for the cost of your plan plus any extras you choose, so gone are the days of that gut-wrenching bill shock ruining your holiday.

What coverage do I get with VOXI?

If you’re worried about limited coverage, let me alleviate your concerns. As VOXI is part of the Vodafone network, customers get the exact same coverage as customers on Vodafone. Which I don’t know if you’re aware is pretty fantastic.

At present, VOXI covers 99% of the population, including 99% 4G coverage and 99% 3G coverage. I’m not great with numbers but I think that’s basically everywhere.

If you want to check your area is covered, enter your postcode on the VOXI online coverage map.

How do I get VOXI?

There are two easy ways to join VOXI. You can either get a free SIM card – that’s right, free sim card – for your existing smartphone (as long as it’s unlocked) or you can buy a new mobile phone directly from VOXI.

If you want to keep your existing phone, you can order a free SIM card from VOXI through this link. Did I mention it was free?

If you want to buy a new smartphone with VOXI, you can choose from a range of handsets from Apple, Huawei, Samsung, Sony and pretty much any other mobile provider you can think of.

What VOXI plans are on offer?

Now we’re getting into the real meat of the subject.

VOXI offers the following 30-day 4G plans all at competitive, low, low prices.

£10 = 6GB data

£15 = 15GB data

£20 = 45GB data

£20 for 45GB of data? I dare you to find me a better deal. Go on, show me.

Oh, and assuming you have data left on your plan, you can enjoy unlimited use of selected social media and chat apps.

Does VOXI do 5G?

It’s the calm before the storm as 5G prepares to sweep across the nation, changing our lives forevermore.

And you better believe VOXI is all over it.

VOXI has said that it will be launching its 5G deals next year along with a range of 5G devices.

As for coverage, it will be the same as Vodafone (you already know this), which is initially set to offer partial 5G coverage in Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Glasgow, Manchester, Liverpool and London. Then, VOXI will bring 5G to Birkenhead, Blackpool, Bournemouth, Guildford, Newbury, Portsmouth, Plymouth, Reading, Southampton, Stoke-on-Trent, Warrington and Wolverhampton.

Can I use VOXI abroad and is data roaming available?

VOXI offers endless social media and endless roaming. You can use VOXI in a total of 48 European countries – so you don’t have to worry about running up your phone bill while you’re away. That’s the bill shock I was previously referring to.

Countries where you can roam include: Austria, Azores, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canary Islands, Channel Islands, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark (including Faroe Islands), Estonia, Finland, France (including Corsica), French Guiana, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Guadeloupe, Guernsey, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Isle of Man, Italy, Jersey, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Madeira, Malta, Martinique, Mayotte, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Reunion, Romania, Saint Martin, San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain (including Balearic Islands), Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey and Vatican City.

I could have easily said most of Europe there but I wanted to be as specific as possible. You’re welcome.

Can I keep the same mobile number with VOXI?

Changing your number over is a pain in the behind as nobody, I repeat, nobody, wants to be the person to send a generic text out to their contacts explaining that they’ve got a new number.

If you are currently on a different mobile network and looking to switch to VOXI, thankfully, it’s a straightforward process to keep your existing phone number.

To keep your number, first, order your new SIM on the VOXI website, then sign into your new account. Then, go to ‘transfer number’ and enter the PAC code which you can ask for off your current mobile network.

Believe it or not, it’s a lot easier than I’ve just made it sound. And before you ask, yes it’s free.

Can you hotspot VOXI?

Does a one-legged duck swim in a circle?

Sorry. Yes, yes you can hotspot with VOXI.

For those who don’t know, hotspot means you can share your smartphone’s internet connection with another device (e.g. with a laptop or tablet). And with VOXI’s unlimited social media, you can do this without restrictions providing you have enough data.

They’ve got everything covered!

Is VOXI good?

Is VOXI good?! I wouldn’t have gone to all this trouble if it wasn’t good, would I?!

Look, there’s a reason why VOXI is one of the fastest growing mobile networks around. It gives customers endless social media, flexible 30 day contracts and low price plans. Plus it’s free to get a sim – you might as well give it a go!

Given that it’s owned by Vodafone (don’t know if I’ve mentioned that), customers can expect the same coverage, speed and customer service, which, when coupled with VOXI’s ability to let customers enjoy their favourite social apps without eating into their data, makes for a pretty unbeatable network.

It’s patently obvious why smart folk are joining VOXI – including yours truly – so make sure you don’t get left behind.

You’ll only regret it.
