“The one that got away…“
I’m not sure why. It makes me laugh, mostly and never gets a response so I don’t have any repercussions to worry about.
Something I never do though, is message someone many months after an unsuccessful date in the hopes that I can relight some kind of fire.
That would be weird.
Sadly, whoever went on a date with Amy Bottrill didn’t get that memo, and decided to have a go at her for losing interest in him after a first date.
The “You’ve got making up to do, Amy” thing is the worst bit.
He clearly thought he was being cheeky and playful but it just shows how tone-deaf he really is.
“Dressed like you was attending a funeral of someone you didn’t like” is a funny line though. I’ll give him credit there, he got a chuckle out of me.
It sounds like Amy will give him credit for that too, saying:
“‘dressed like you was attending a funeral of someone you didn’t like’ is a devastatingly accurate description of my personal style; I wore a low cut black dress that had functioning poppers all the way down and 4 inch heels.“
It’s weird to think that there are people like that out there.
Not objectively bad people, just utterly clueless and a bit mean.
At least Amy sees the funny side.

He's been blagging his way through writing articles for four years now and he's definitely showing signs of slowing down. When not writing for The Hook, Alfie finds time to indulge in his favourite hobbies, such as drinking and sitting down.Follow
