Honestly, it would be a colossal waste of resources making me pregnant. Absolutely not worth it.
With that in mind, I obviously wouldn’t know the kind of emotions and pain one goes through when giving birth. I can ask people, but I tend not to do that. A lot of things can be assumed (i.e. it hurts and it’s very emotional), but I’d have never been able to predict that you’d want a burger afterwards or during.
This comes after a woman went into labour in none other place than the McDonald’s drive-thru (uuggghhhh it’s ‘through’) in Melbourne, Australia.
The woman, accompanied by her husband, called the emergency services but realised the wait would be pretty long. With that, she sent her fella into the McDonald’s to pick her up a Quarter Pounder whilst she waited in the car.
Licensee Ainsley Shillington told Daily Mail Australia:
“During our lunch rush, he asked for an order for his wife who was delivering a baby in the car park.
We served the customer as quickly as possible with drinks and a dinner box and he proceeded on his way. The crew at the time were quite concerned.
Everyone thought it was quite a fun to have such an occurrence in the car park, when they saw the ambulance in attendance they knew they were well and truly looked after.“
Yes, happily the ambulance did eventually arrive, with it hauling the new parents off to hospital posthaste.
Lovely. If I were there, I’d have been very witty as the baby was delivered and said “You want fries with that?”
God I’m a sh*t person.
