It was uncomfortable to say the least; very embarrassing because I had to keep finding new things to dry my face with and for a brief minute, I dropped my suave, James Bond-esque air to message my friend this…
I’m not proud.
But yes, it was very hot down there, and since yesterday we covered a freezable bra that keeps one’s boobs cool in this insane heat, I was yearning for a below-the-belt equivalent.
Well it turns out there is an equivalent, and they’re rather brilliantly called Snowballs.
Essentially, Snowballs are boxer shorts that come with freezable inserts that slot neatly into a pouch on the aforementioned briefs. Nice. Dare I say… cool?
Not only are the pants designed to cool you down, they’re primarily here to aid with male fertility, to ease pain, or to help if you’ve just had a vasectomy. Happy days! They probably also make it look like you’re packing more than you are…
The company says:
“Since the mid-Sixties, scientists have been aware that scrotal cooling can improve male fertility, but no controlled tests were done until the mid-Eighties, when the advantages of cooling were first clinically shown.
Now, with an increasing number of studies confirming its effectiveness, some of the world’s best fertility specialists are beginning to prescribe icing. And doesn’t it just make good sense to directly treat the part of the body with the problem?“
Yeah they’ve got a point. Balls in the freezer, boys. For science.
Snowballs are £59 for a pack containing two pairs of boxers and three reusable wedges, with a pack of extra wedges setting you back £4.99.
If you get these and the bra ones, you can have the whole set. You’d be the talk of the town.
Be safe out there. It’s toasty.

He's been blagging his way through writing articles for four years now and he's definitely showing signs of slowing down. When not writing for The Hook, Alfie finds time to indulge in his favourite hobbies, such as drinking and sitting down.Follow
