Many of us have probably worn slippers more than proper shoes over the last year thanks to the pandemic.
Have you ever wished you could be paid for lounging around in comfort? This is the dream job for you, becoming a slipper tester.
You’ll be paid £333 a month, just under £4,000 a year. Even better, you’ll get plenty of pairs of slippers for free.
It sounds too good to be true but we promise it isn’t.
Bedroom Athletics are on the search, and it’s not the first time they’ve done it either. They advertised the same role last year and say they were inundated with responses.
Now they need two new testers. One person to try women’s slippers and one to try men’s.
That’s not all though, just to up the cosiness factor even higher, you’ll also be asked to review throws, dressing gowns and cushions.
You’ll be receiving a prototype for you to try out and then give your thoughts, before it goes on sale to the public.
If you’re successful with your application, you’ll need to wear the slippers for 12 hours a day, for two days a month.
The role will run for 12 months, so you need to think about whether you’ll still be able to do it by then.
How To Apply
Sounds good? Just fill out a form online explaining why you’re the person for the role. You have until the end of February to apply, and successful testers will be chosen in March.
Howard Wetter is the Founder of Bedroom Athletics: “‘We’re a small but growing business and have already employed two new senior members of staff in the last three months.”
“With the two new slipper testers on-board, we’ll be in an even better position to provide the UK’s working from home work-force with second-to-none quality slippers” he adds.
“I can’t wait to see the applications, with recent lockdowns across the UK we hope it will be the perfect job for someone, it really is a great role to slip into.” Get it? Excellent puns, Howard.
Fancy Something Other Than Slippers?
Previous dream jobs have included a candle tester, luxury mattress reviewer, and even a gin tester. Getting paid to try out the things you love isn’t a bad way to make a living.
If you’re a meat eater who thinks they could easily go vegan, then there’s a megabucks opportunity waiting for you. £50,000 to give up meat and dairy for three months, to be precise. plus if you extend it, there’d be a lifetime supply of vegan ready meals too.
Will you give it a go?
